LC from PA I have a 70 Adventurer in 2000 I couldn,t find clips if you go to take the panel off start at the bottom get it all loose then gentley push up the top has 2 small finger tabs that if you twist to much they will break they are held onto tailgate by a slot that goes over a pin on the gate Sorry my parts book gives no## for the clips :study :salut LC

I know how to ge it off it fell off years ago when opening the tailgate just trying to find replacements

I click on your picture link and all that shows for me is the tailgate. No clips. What do the clips look like.

They look like the clips that retain the rocker trim on a 76-90 pickup only they are taller. On my truck if I can't find the original clips I am going to improvise by welding extra studs on the tailgate and using twice as many of the rocker trim clips in staggered upper and lower positions.
