I Had to Stop and Ask

I was driving by and saw this one this past weekend, and had to stop and ask about it. The man that answered the door turned out to be the owner, and bought it new in 1970 at a local dealership. Unfortunately for me, it was not for sale. He has recently given it to his grandson, who was born the same month he bought the truck, and they are about to begin a restoration on the truck. It still has the original 318/727, A/C, and power steering - all of which appear to be operational. Mr. Hendricks (the owner) was super nice, answered all of my questions, and told me to take any pictures or measurements that I wanted to of the truck - I am going to go back when I have more time and take some pictures under the hood. I wish it was for sale, but since my truck was bought new by my granddad, I am happy to see another one being passed along and kept in the family as well. I will stop by from time to time to check on the progress.
