Re: Front Axle Question - D100 4x4Conversion
Not sure. I do not know what gears are in it. Ultimately I will replace the rear end with a Dana 44 or a Dana 60 but that is down the road a bit. I'll end up doing the axles, transfer case, etc all at the same time so I guess I can find out what is in the the front axle and math the rear end up when...

Front Axle Question - D100 4x4Conversion
I have a friend with a Dana 44 off of an '81 Ramcharger. I'm planning on doing a 4x4 conversion on my '66 D100 Town Wagon and am wondering if this axle will swap in without any major issue. The axle is a passenger side drop so I'm guessing it'll go in fine. It has the disc brake setup on it as well,...

Re: Tire Size question
Thanks Sheldon. When I saw that the hubcaps came with the wheels, I couldn't turn them down! Truck looks way better than it did. I was nervous about the tires that were on it. Truck sat in a field for 15 years and I swear the front tires were original to the truck!!

Re: Tire Size question
Thanks for the feedback. The 265's I was looking at would have been too big. I wound up finding a matched set of Dodge 15" steel rims with brand new tires on them. They are 235's and I only have about 1.5" clearance at the front of the tire. I think part of this is due to the sag on the springs. The...

Tire Size question
I'm working on a '66 D-100 Town Wagon and the wheels and tires are totally shot and completely mismatched. Looks like it had 16" originally with a 7.00X16 tire on it. The rear end has 15" wheels. My question is how big of a tie can I put on a stock D-100 without it hitting fenders/steering component...
