1965 Dana 60 interchange
I have a 65 D200 which has the Dana 60. New hubs and drums are not made any longer and I found someone selling everything from the backing plates out from a Dana 60 from a 69-72 Dodge truck (floater). This includes hubs, drums, backing plates, shoes, hold downs and adjusters. Will these work in my h...

Re: Scarebird Brackets...Who wants to make them?
The conversion brackets are more then what they seem to be. The threads aren't just taped into the plate there are bosses welded to the plate. Overall a good quality piece. A little fine tuning was needed though to allow the calipers to actually slide in the plates. Also...anyone who is doing a D200...

Re: 1965 Dodge Paint Color White
Thanks for the info! I was confused because some were using the earlier "Sand Dune White" instead of the "Dodge Truck White" Are the door panels, wheels, and bumpers the same Dodge Truck White?

1965 Dodge Paint Color White
I am getting some hail damage fixed on the roof of my truck by the insurance company and wanted to paint the top white instead like some of the trucks had. They are doing repair and paint instead of PDR. What color was used for the tops on the late model year 1965 trucks? I see a couple white colors...

Re: Over drive
On those you buy the tail and install it on your 727 you have. I know they don't usenthe hydrolic and vacuum shifting like the 46rh a518 uses but not real sure how it works...I had to stop looking at them when I saw the price...too rich for my blood! Many people rave about them though. Good company ...

Re: '65 front leaf shackle removal......
I found that the ones on my 65 were a little sloppy in the frame but the pins were snug in the bushing. I welded the sleeve into the frame as someone did before me. I looked around and could not find any replacement sleeves/bushings so I wanted to save them. Why are you removing them?

Re: Swedge removal....
I read here about using a 5/8" hole saw with the pilot bit removed to do this. On my drill press, I did one as a test and it works very well. Here's one removed and a second one cut but before hitting it out. http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x125/fusc69/photobucket-6154-1373911956264_zpsccdac8a7....

Re: Lowering a 67 3/4 ton
Hey SF, I did a drop axle on the front of mine and pulled out 3 springs on my D200. Now I have got some mad rake action going. I got some 2" drop shackles for the rear and removed 3 springs of the 7, but know I'm going to have to flip it as well. Do you have any pictures of your flip or how you angl...

Re: 66 D100 Brakes
The caliper on disk brakes are generally larger than the wheel cylinders on drum brakes. It takes more fluid to fill them so more fluid has to be available. If you look at most front disk rear drum master cylinders one reservoir is larger. That larger one is for the disk brakes (front). Not everyone...

Re: 4 " stroke on 318
You can do a stroke on a 318 with a 340 or maybe a 360 crank I believe. The pistons cannot be bored to 4.00" though. Not enough meat on the walls. There are a few articles out there on how to hot rod the LA motors and give them more power. Some bolt ons may even help. Headers, 4BBL, Electronic ignit...

Re: Cab Mounts bolts and strange stuff
I measured it and it is a 1/2-20 and it's about 5.5" long! Went to the hardware store and they have some bolts at $4 each that "may" work! The thread may not be long enough. Luckily a local member has one laying in his shop he is willing to "re-purpose" for my needs! Love this community!

Love that original truck. As cool as the CSS ute is, I wish it were a sweptline. The body line on the bed is one of the main reasons I love these trucks. Ya, anybody can get a regular wide bed CSS....There are dozens of them. Only TWO ute CSS's - Ive got em both :D Rich (GJDODGE) up in Grand Juncti...

Great C-Body Gerry! Like it and remember cruising to church every Sunday in one just like it! I like that it has the 4bbl dual exhaust too! Is it an HP motor in it or were the 4bbl and duals added on later? Man, you could eat your lunch off that motor! I have a 68 Fury 2dr HT with the HP 383 factory...

Cleaned up the original rabbet nuts and welded them in then primed it up real good to prevent the rust from coming back like it always does. Thanks for the information!

Re: Scarebird - The good the bad and the ugly
I may still look at the Chevy and Ford wheels to see if there is a difference in how they fit. I think the center holes on chevy stock steel wheels are too small for our Dodges. :2cents John With the rotors mounted the center register is useless (on the front). The only thing that keeps the rotor c...

Re: Fast an loud swepty episode!!
OK, Gotta say I was excited to see what they would do to the 64 when the episode was advertised. I don't agree with everything they did but the Crown Vic is a nice IFS option. The SBC is crap though, I just don't like it when you cross breed things like that. I think you stay true to your brand when...

Cab Mounts bolts and strange stuff
So, I'm under my truck pulling out the factory cab mounts to install the Energy Suspension set from a Lifestyle truck and find something strange. The driver's side mount it about 1/4 inch flatter than the new insulator. Wow...that much? So I put the new polyurethane bushings in and move to the passe...

Just realized they were short 5 studs to complete the order.
