Re: mirrors, anyone?

Are you guys talking mirror heads or the mirror mount? or referring to the mount and mirror as 1 unit? Mirror heads can be found if you know where to look; mounts are also becoming available and you will find Used sometimes. Bud posted above will probably have the parts. where are ya finding the mi...

Re: Need help finding a cheap 4bbl intake for 318 poly

I'm not sure why the picture won't show, but if you right click and open in a new tab it works. the picture on the web page is a stock picture and it's the same one for like half the manifolds on the site, but the pdf says specifically that it is for the "A" series heads. I'm going to call and find...

Re: carb recommendation?

Wow....nice find on the 4bbl Poly intake. Those go for $400 and up on Ebay or swap meets. When I put mine on I ran an Edelbrock 1406 which is a 600 cfm. I live at 6000 feet and needed a little more air than at sea level. If you are a Edelbrock guy you may want to look at the 500cfm version which is...

Re: carb questions??

I recently (last 4 weeks because students were involved) went from the stock Carter to an Edelbrock 4 bbl on an Edelbrock 2100 series performer dual plane intake. I love the swap and I found my intake on Craigslist for $120. Quite a bit cheaper than a new one. Keep looking on Craigslist, and facebo...

We use them to generate electric but I believe they also used them on ships. The engine is a 20 cyl cooper Bessemer. That piston is a small one at 15 1/2" diamete...
