Stock mirrors
Stock mirrors
What have you guys used for mirrors on the stock 3 hole curved arms for our trucks? I just got my mirror arms chromed and now need to find the "best looking" mirrors to bolt to them.
If you have pictures of what you have done post here or email to me please

Thanks in advance

Re: Stock mirrors
I would ask this guy if the posts are offset and then buy these if they are:

Make an offer of maybe $5-$10 lower each maybe?
I know you said chrome though..... maybe paint them to match truck or something.
These may also look fine but I prefer offset mounts as the factory ones.

Wally,

do you think these would look good? They are still a center mount but rectangle would give you more "visibility". thoughts......

Re: this is on a homemade base , are now on my chrome bases
If you want an inexpensive (off-set) mirror head , pep Boys has 4 3/4" round mirrors (stainless with plastic chromed bases) ...pitch the base and attach it to your chromed 3 pt factory base ...you will need to find some fine thread nuts...not much thread length, but works for $10/each.

Stainless and CIPA makes pretty good quality stuff.

Re: Stock mirrors
Rectangle will be more visibility. If you look at the factory books, it looks like you could get a lot of styles.

Re: Stock mirrors
6x8 inches instead of the more period common 5x7 inches. Offset round you would find a 6 inch diameter works better than the standard 4 inch version, offset is better regardless of diameter.

Re: Stock mirrors
I have a pair of black offset rectangular mirror heads I don't really need. I'll check and see if the metal is steel or aluminum under the paint.
