Hey, only took me a few years to figure out how to resize these pics. Here's Red - a '71 Power Wagon with a 318 and 19000 original miles. Engine rebuild plans underway. Bearings did not appreciate years of dry starts. The pre-oiler was installed a little too late. Will be nice running unleaded fuel when I'm done.

I think I remember that truck being for sale in Wisconsin.

Yeah, I bought this truck a few years ago on ebay from Wisconsin. It is a sweet weekend warrior. I can go to cruise night, home depot on weekends and load it up for camping & canoe trips. I added the pre-oiler, a vintage SW engine temp gauge to match other dash mounted gauges, four point seat belt harnesses, the canoe rack, the diamond plate rear box, a dual battery set up, and a hidden stereo. The truck had no radio and I couldn't bring myself to cut the dash or the door panels, so I built speaker boxes for under the seat. The stereo is mounted under the dash and I stashed the remote stereo face plate in a small metal first aid kit box mounted on the transmission tunnel-completely stealth.

What a sweet Power Wagon! You can still find those 20K mile or less brush pumper trucks out there, but they're increasingly harder to get for a reasonable price as the years roll by. I dig your truck!

i remeber seeing this truck on craigslist a couple years back glad you changed your mind and held onto it its a beautiful truck

Wow, you guys don't miss a thing.
It was on CL a couple years back. Had some unexpected bills come up. Fortunately I was able to come up with some creative financing and keep the truck. I knew this was a once in a lifetime truck for me -sell it and I would never have this nice again.

Now you see how obsessed we are over these trucks.

Do you have a tailgate for that beauty ???

I have a red tail gate, but it is not the original. The chrome rear bumper is not original either. The fire dept. used to have a "beaver tail" rear step and rail that guys could ride or step up on, but OSHA made them remove it. (I added a pic of this). The fire dept had also lined the ends of the bed where the tailgate connects with aluminum diamond plate (you can see this in the rear view pic above). It looks pretty sharp as is, I am flip flopping on adding the tail gate.
