Guess I shoulda asked

Getting the '61 ready for paint....found a painter 4 blocks away that has been in same spot for 35 years. Worked out details for base /clear exterior. Doing the interior myself.He is taking it down to the original and cleaning up small dents,etc. . Anyway, I am removing everything : trim, door handles,bumpers,etc. The rear round tail light housings appeared to be rivited to the bed so I ground off the 6 rivet heads and to my supprise found out that the rivets held 3 spring clips to the housing. Clips were just rusty and needed a good yank to pull away from the bed. Easy to re-attach, but "i shoulda asked first".
