If you are working on an 8-3/4", TSM - http://www.tsmmfg.com/
has a great kit. I run this on my 69 Fury. It was an easy afternoon project!
You will need to add an adjustable proportioning valve on the rear though.
When I got it a couple years ago, it was the most recommended kit
on Moparts by far.

Yeah, if you get everything from them.
That is what I did. I wouldn't bother with the parking brake though.
That Cadillac design has a history of mediocre performance.
You may be able to get the calipers cheaper locally, it was about
the same for me though.

If parking brakes are really important, than the Baer and Wilwood designs,
which use an integrated drum brake inside the rotor hat are the way to go.
These are considerably more expensive kits though.

If you are adventurous, there are some Jeep Cherokees that use rear discs
with an integrated drum parking brake, that I have read about guys using
on the 8-3/4" axle. I have looked in to this a couple times, but never came
up with a definitive parts list though.

I never use the parking brake, so I didn't bother on mine. However, your
location might have some impact on this. I am told that Canada makes a big
deal out of having a functional parking brake for example.

Is that with e-brake? Does the kit come with brake lines, back plates, prop valve, everything needed??

I put rear discs on for less than a hundred bucks
I use weld on gm small metric calipers, 15 bucks, then I use loaded GM calipers off of an 83 monte carlo, 30 bucks, then a couple fittings and brake lines, 25. Then I get rotors off of a ford explorer and use those, cheap.
I hate drum brakes, so I put rear discs on everything.

I looked through all of my pictures and I dont have any, I know I took a bunch when I mini tubbed my Valiant, but I dont have the computer they were on any more and I guess I never put it on my photobucket. I do have a shot of my old race car that has the same deal on it though. Im kind of bummed, I dont have any pictures of my Valiant build anymore, It was a four door I made into a two door.

Here is how I did my 8 lugs.

this is the bracket I use for the metric GM calipers. I just space them away from the rotor and inch and weld em on. Basically clamp a piece of one by one square and it holds it square to the rotor while you weld it on.

I'm going to do almost the same way as cageman did on my 63 d-100. Except I plan to bolt the brackets on to hold caliper brackets.Using almost the same parts list as Scarebird except bracket, and a Willwood proportioning valve. Don't have to worry about e-brake as its on end of tranny/driveshaft...............pat
