So what's wrong with setting beneath a single pull string incandescent light bulb writing angry letters?

Re: 160 speedo?
I suppose with the proper speedo gear it could be made accurate.

Re: 160 speedo?
I have a factory speedo out of a 73 Polara CHP cruiser that is 160 mph and has "CERTIFIED" factory printed right under the numbers. Cool as hell, but no way the truck cluster is anything but KPH!

Re: 160 speedo?
160 KPH is 100 MPH. Guy thinks he has something special. Guess a Kilometer speedo might be special to someone in Europe ETC.
Its a Kilometer speedo for export. Sweptys did go to other countries.

Re: 160 speedo?
The 160 km/h speedometer in 1971 was NOT Canada, as they went to dual kilometer/mile speedos in 1975 or '76. The kilo-only speedo would've went to any country that was exclusively on the metric system at that time. So, Europe (except Great Britain), most of South and Central America, and perhaps half of Asia was using kilometers then. The rest was still using miles through most of the 1970s.
Now, it's just the US and Burma (Myanmar) that are using miles.

It was 77 model year for us and the odometer was in Kilometers. MPH was to inside of KPH scale.

Re: 160 speedo?
I find it strange that you could not get one on a new car at the time, but they are listed(both cars and trucks) in the parts book.
