the proportioning valve i have is from Summitt, it was fairly inexpensive, but i'm gonna keep it, i do plan on installing it.

A proportioning valve really should be used. I am not saying those not using one are wrong, but there could be hidden problems. ...

... up fine but i have not tested it yet. Ben i should clarify - i used a proportioning valve off a 85 Dodge - the master cylinder i used is a rebuild unit from NAPA for a 72 Dodge ...

i bought an adjustable proportioning valve, but didn't use it. i used a 72 disc/drum master cyl., it is just a hint rear brake biased, but not bad enuff to need to HAVE to cure the prob. the biggest issue is you can't power brake it.

Do I need to run a proportioning valve? It was always my plan to buy one, but the cheapest 4 outlet (good one, with brake light switch and everything) is like $100+, which isnt in my budget. Thanks...
