You said the truck now has a 383 /automatic in it now..orginal engine?.make sure the back of the crank is drilled for the input shaft/pilot bearing..Some engines that came with automatics aren't drilled .........pat

Block has a bad crack thats not repairable...the guy I got it from dropped it off the back of his truck and it hit on lower side cracking the block and lower lip near oil pan. Those things are HEAVY.It came from a 57 Dodge wrecker like a d300 or something that big.......pat

Another new guy here. I signed up a couple of days ago. I have been doing a lot of reading here.
