Time to revive this thread.....finally got the engine in along with the trans. Got it all running Saturday and next will be the disc brake plumbing and adding the proportioning valve. I’ll post some pics when I get time. The cam sounds pretty nasty with open manifolds!

There is no proportioning valve on a factory swept.
What many people mistake as a p.v. on the dual masters is the brake safety switch, which senses a loss of pressure in either front or rears and illuminates a red light on the dash.

I don't think so. Only if you were going to go to disc brakes in the front is how I understand it.

If going to disc brakes I thought I read here that one needs to use a disc brake master and also use an proportioning valve?
This was for a disc dana 44 swap but seems like it would be the same?
