Do you know how many wires pass through the fire wall. I am going to replace my wire harness and I want to try a bulk head connector instead of running them through a hole in the firewall.
BTW, your wiring looks good. You did a great job.

Re: new box power steering
If you ever want this kit available I recommend everyone that has interest start contacting CPP and state your interest or they will probably drop the project (that is what back burner usually means in my experience).

Re: Adjustable master cylinder push rod
Be sure you have the front brakes plumbed off of the lager of the master cylinder resevoirs, and then if you still need better pedal install an adjustable proportioning valve in the rear brakeline. Jim I may be feeling a little retarded but I cannot wrap my head around how a rear proportioning valv...

Robertob, thanks for the update. I didn't know you moved to CA! BTW - Do you think the angled arm will be enough to do the trick? I suppose my concern is with different tire sizes and such. :Thumbsup Hello Swewptliners, Release date should be before the end of the year but with SEMA coming up, it h...

Adjustable master cylinder push rod
Anyone have a good parts source for a adjustable master cylinder push rod that fits our trucks without too much modification?? Just completed Scarebird disc conversion and brakes do not engage until about 1 inch off the floor. Once they engage, they are solid and work good....

Re: Scarebird brake install HELP needed!!
They might be on backwards, if so, scarebird needs to change their instructions. Scarebird agrees, they are on backwards. I guess I need to review the instructions for the 26th time to see if I over looked something, but I am positive the instructions are wrong. This must be early signs of senility....

Re: Scarebird brake install HELP needed!!
I am not sure, but it looks like you have the right caliper on the left side and vice-versa. Check it out from my D200. Jim I thought of that so i read the instructions again and it said the opening of the bracket faces the front of the truck. I have an email in to scarebird but i may just reverse ...

Re: picture of 61 d100 front brake
That spring is for the self adjuster. It hooks onto the the front shoe and then hooks on the lever that goes on the rear shoe and turns the star wheel on the adjuster. Not sure if the 61 truck had self adjusting brakes though, if they did not then it would not be used. here is a picture of how it go...

Rear Disc conversion
Have any of you fellow sweptiners converted your D100 rear brakes to disc? I have to do alot of brake work when I get back home so I am thinking this would be a good time to tackle this project. I am already planning on the scarebird front disc swap. I see a bunch of rear disc conversions for the 8 ...

Re: Has anyone had there aluminum grille repaired?
Even though I can't help you with who can do it, i can tell you who NOT to send it to. I sent my 68 Aluminum grill to Ano-Brite Inc in Hollywood CA. My grill was nice with only 1 small dent near the right side headlight and the top side was wavy. I sent them all of my SS trim, decals, front bumper, ...
