Re: Help need with my Plymouths brakes
Check out ECI's Mopar specific pedal/master cylinder bracket. Nice piece. The stock brake system really is garbage...constant tinkering not to mention periodic FAILURE. I drove a 49 Chrysler as a DD in the 70's...bad bad bad brakes. My "new" 49 Chrysler had the RustyHope front discs, will have the E...

Master Cylinder Exploded Drawing
I finally found a kit for the master cylinder on my 1962 D300. As I took it apart I laid everything out in order on a shop cloth on the workbench so I would remember how it went back in. Murphy stopped by and the whole thing went on the floor!!! It's the last thing to do before it can be driven and ...

Congrats on the new job. I bet you breathed a sigh of relief on that one. I am into pharmaceuticals as well, although as a consumer. The older I get the more of those I consume. (not the street kind, the pharmacy kind!) My job depends upon 3 older, unhealthy frail people staying out of hospita...

Re: Help need with my Plymouths brakes
If this is the stock system, there is a second, tiny pinhole in the bottom of the master cylinder that often gets overlooked. It's about the size of a paperclip. Clean that hole out and you should be good to go. ECI has a great bolt-in M/C bracket that allows the use of a modern two pot M/C and Rust...

I think there are some really good kids out there with lots of drive and ambition and the willingness to work for what they want.

I THINK Mopar still used GM tilt columns, so check a gm wiring diagram.

Re: just me griping
I can't justify a payment and from what I've seen of my friends who can, it doesn't mean a hill of beans when it comes to a vehicle leaving you stranded looking for a tow. I have a 2000 Caravan with 155,000 km, a rebuilt transmission and the steel timing chain 3.8 daily driver. Never thought I would...

Re: '66 Dodge D200 for towing a '67 Airstream
from what ive heard, bed liner will make the cab louder. its very hard, and non absorbing, so it wont absorb sound. there are spray on sound deadeners - paint on - roll on, or stick on. cruise one audio forums and you can find a great deadener at a good deal. There are several different types avail...

Re: Roll In Bed Liner
I've had most liners and for me it's Rhino. The military uses it for quite a few things, and with proper prep, it's indestructible. You'll always get what you pay for. (Wire tape is essential for a spray on application and you take it off right after you spray. It's the only way to get a nice clean ...

Re: '66 Dodge D200 for towing a '67 Airstream
As far as smell and noise inside goes, you may want to consider a coat of Rhinoliner...yes the truck bed stuff. It will seal out the smells, the dust and alot of the noise. Some Dynamat Sound deadener and carpet over top and it will be near silent. (getting the fuel tank out of the cab will help wit...

Re: Body by Dodge. Power by Jag?
My brother in law has a beautiful Jag XJ12. Problem was he couldn't drive it because it wouldn't stay running long enough to go through a tank of gas. OH and the reason they are never winter driven is because they won't start in winter. After a few weekends and a kit from the US, there is a healthy ...

Re: Hotrodwires harness
nope - i always go with the adage that you always get what you pay for. for something like a wire harness that takes a good bit of time to install and also is the foundation to how well your truck will run, start, etc i would consider not cutting corners. i bought a Ron Francis harness and so far h...

I have a set of old style clearance lights to go on the D300.
No hesitation drilling holes in the roof, quite easy to ensure no leaks with the various sealants available and a gasket under the light.
For me, the more lights, the better

Re: Sandblasting fees
Real sand can easily destroy sheet metal if not done by a seasoned pro. I've seen some very nice vehicles turned into scrap metal by sand.
Best to use plastic, glass or walnut shells.
Even then the operator MUST be experienced with sheet metal.

I tried to find him on Facebook a while back, and searched the email he used to email me. He told me via email that he wouldn't come back if no-one believed he was 16 until he could meet a member in person. He also said his Mom had to go to Denver for cancer treatment, hence the truck had to be sold...
