Re: Fuel Sending Unit Wire - Location?
Thanks, got it fixed (replaced the wire) then had to change out the float in the tank but now have a working fuel gauge! Temp gauge works too after I replaced the sending unit. Fun stuff!

Fuel Sending Unit Wire - Location?
Found the wire going from the fuel gauge to the sending unit is broken off under the cab below the fuel tank.
Where should I look for the other broken end of the same wire so I can reconnect them?
Thanks!

Re: Original Power Steering Leaks
Looks like the four hoses are shot. I took them off last night. Are there options for new ones?

Carb Vacuum Lines?
1971 D100 factory 383-2bbl. I see a small sized vacuum line on the passenger side of the carb and another small sized one on the back. When I got it the one on the back ran to the distributor vacuum advance and the other one had an 8" hose on it that wasn't connected to anything. Is the rear one cor...

Dash - Brake Warning Light Bulb?
1971 D100 My dash is missing the brake warning light bulb so I'm wondering which bulb number to use. The other bulbs look like a #53 but they all have one wire going to them whereas the brake warning light has two. Maybe it's the same bulb but just the ground side of the circuit is completed by the ...

Original Power Steering Leaks
My '71 D100 has the factory power steering but it leaks down at the box behind the left front wheel. Sounds like that is common?
How hard or expensive are they to rebuild as I don't want to do a conversion.

Re: Bought a '71
I've put about 100 miles on it, changing the cap, rotor, plugs, plug wires, oil, filter, air filter, PS belt and Alternator belts. So far it looks like the only issues are... 1. About four inches of slop in the steering 2. Something is leaking just inside the left front wheel for the power steering ...

Re: Bought a '71
I figured the bucket seats would be one of the first things to go if it went to the scrap yard, as well as the '71 383 motor, rear axle and trans. My plan is to just not put a lot of money into it. I have other projects that take my money. It would be cool to have a "The Dude" replica since it's a '...

Bought a '71
This was at a dealership, they said it had just come in in the morning and there was rust in the gas tank so it was going to the scrap yard. I looked at it... big block (383-2bbl), bucket seats, 83k original miles (they told me) and so I bought it. Cost was about $375 said and done. Are the bucket s...
