Ordering the Scarebird Kit
Been gone for a while but now I'm ready to get going on the ol Dodge. Its been sitting for about a year and since that time the front brakes went bad and the wheel cylinders leaked out all of he brake fluid. Instead of rebuilding the front brakes I want to convert them to disks. I checked out the Sc...

Re: Fixed my hood gap the easy way!
the way you align the hood is to add washers to the front of the hinge. what you did when it blew open was bend the mounting tabs out away from the hood skin, in essence "adding washers" to get the space right. ill bet you have about a 1/4" gap between the front hinge mount and the hood skin now. b...

Fixed my hood gap the easy way!
Took the truck out today to get some gas for the lawnmower. As soon as I backed out of my driveway and started driving down the street my hood blows all the way open so i slammed on the brakes and then the hood slammed shut. I was pissed! I forgot to close the hood all the way after checking the oil...

Banging sound when turning
I hear a banging almost cracking metal sound coming from the rear of the truck when I make a turn. I looked under the truck and found nothing unusual although when I shake my truck by hand (making the truck go side to side) I can hear a banging sound coming from the rearend/Diff. Can anybody guess w...

Re: Need to replace my cooling fan, any suggestions?
i have used heavy duty flex fans in the past with great luck. but be carefull what you buy. a race type flex fan is lighter wieght, flexs more, and doesnt move the air at higher rpm that the hd version will. so be sure you get one for street use and not race use. btw, a 4 row core is not stock, jus...

Re: Need to replace my cooling fan, any suggestions?
My truck has the original 6 blade fan. I would like to replace it with a similar type of fan. I tried the silicone clutch fan but there is no room for it and would require major modifications to the radiator mounts to move it way forward for clearance. I thought about an electric fan but I don't thi...

Need to replace my cooling fan, any suggestions?
Can anyone recommend a good replacement mechanical radiator fan for my 64 with a 318 poly? My original is a 6 blade fan that is cracked and bent. I have a stock 4 row radiator with a tranny cooler in front of it. Thanks

Im going to the pick n pull tomorrow to find a set of wider steel wheels for my 64. Ive read on here somewhere that I can get them from a 5th ave. or Diplomat? not sure. What years and models can I get 7 or 8 inch wide steel wheels that look close to OG. And are there 16's? if not 15's will do. What...
