the way you align the hood is to add washers to the front of the hinge. what you did when it blew open was bend the mounting tabs out away from the hood skin, in essence "adding washers" to get the space right. ill bet you have about a 1/4" gap between the front hinge mount and the hood skin now. b...

I did look over everthing to make sure nothing broke.

Took the truck out today to get some gas for the lawnmower. As soon as I backed out of my driveway and started driving down the street my hood blows all the way open so i slammed on the brakes and then the hood slammed shut. I was pissed! Same thing here. Although I get the clunking sound when turn in either direction. It is coming from the rear. Im thinking its the hangers.
