Anybody have Body mount blueprints?
Good afternoon, I finally dove into this mess of a ‘71 cab and i am trying to replace the cobbled 1/4” plate fabricated front cab mounts however I would like to have some sort of measurements to reference to keep things square and level. They had 72 and up floor pans poorly welded in it too so I don...

Re: What are these threadserts for?
I knew about that filler panel and different fenders on the larger trucks I guess I just never put the thought together on how the filler mounted. Thanks guys!

What are these threadserts for?
This is on a '71 model year under the front valance and behind the bumper. I am curious what these thread inserts would be responsible for holding. there are two of them. I tried doing a search on here and came up dry so far. I will try to upload a picture on this post. Thank you!

Dash swap
Has anybody ever seen a 72-80 style dash put in a swepty? Would it fit or is it too wide? Kinda tossed the idea around thought it would be kinda neat, give me some input on this, i don't know if i want to do it yet.

Re: Did the factory put primer on the bottom of the cab?
My 71 has a green color coming through on the bottom of the bed too , but i do believe this truck has been repainted at some point because the paint job absolutely sucks, also noticed a little coming through on the door

Re: Holley sniper efi
Its a litttle pricey but im running an edelbrock AVS 2 on my 318, easy to tune, you don't dump gas all over to change jets like the holley pops, I feel its easier to match the carb to the engine, however it is a mechanical secondary some people don't like that, but I've had really good luck with it.

Upper steering column
Took apart my steering column for some work on the other end, but with the steering wheel and wiring harness off there is the rotating assembly for the shifter. Right by the upper bearing there are two bolts, on my column there is nowhere for them to go :thinking and I reckon there is supposed to be...

I hear ranchos and monroes are good, but are big name brands li...

Fuel Sender Ohms
Does anyone know what the ohm-age is at empty and full on a stock fuel tank sending unit? Looking at aftermarket gauges and need to know. Also gauge brand recommendations would be nice too. Thanks!
